Zakhar Bron is known the world over as one of the greatest of all violin teachers and inspiring performer. he started his teaching career as the assistant of Igor Oistrakh at the famous Tchaikovsky Conservatoire in Moscow , and later moved to Novosibirsk to start there what was to become a legendary class of students - amongst them some of the best known violinists of today like Vadim Repin and Maxim Vengerov. He himself won many prizes at important violin competitions, has recorded man CD's and regularly plays recitals, chamber music concerts and violin concertos. Professor Bron has taught at the Royal Academy in London, the Conservatory in Rotterdam, the Musikhochschule Lubeck and the Escuela Superior de Musica 'Reina Sofia' in Madrid where he still teaches.
